Richard Moore
Richard developed a passion and fascination with many different styles of art at a very early age. He has a broad range of influences, including but never limited to, Frank Frazetta, M.C. Escher, Rick Griffin, H.R. Giger, Ralph Mcquarrie, Courtney Davis, the Book Of Kells and primarily his uncle John Marsh Davis, who was a master artist and celebrated architect in California, who highly encouraged Richard to seek out and develop his talent. His early works consisted of comic strips, graffiti art, psychedelic art, logo work and album cover design.
His fascination with Celtic art began 31 years ago by discovering the world of Celtic and tribal tattooing and knotwork which was truly an artistic epiphany. His long love of the art and culture of Ireland and Scotland are a key factor in developing and creating a visual story of history, elegance and grace.
All of Richard's art is drawn and painted entirely by hand, representing countless hours of layout, design, inking and painting with acrylic from his home studio in Fernandina Beach, Florida.
Commissions and custom pieces will be available by consultation.
